I'm CuriousI used to have a share in a flat (
apartment for American speakers) in London. Belgravia it wasn't - that's where the fat cats live.
What I'd like to know is why this advert was in yesterday's Jakarta Post.
Is the seller of the house an Indonesian?
Or could it be the former owner of Man City?
And is the seller in need of some immediate cash?
Aduh.
Which Indonesian fat cat do you think might buy it?
And is it right to transfer Indonesian funds to the UK?
As I said, I'm curious.

UpdateBeing curious, I've investigated further and discovered that
Renta Holding is based in Barcelona, with offices in Paris, London, Berlin and New York.
What makes them interesting is that in 2007,
social work developed by Fundación Renta was involved working closely with 150 organisations, allocating some €800,000 (c.US$1.1 million)
to supporting projects. The activities Fundación Renta drives and develops are in response to the changing needs of our environment, particularly in emergency situations, with the aim of leading or partnering in projects whose scope essentially focuses on the following areas:
* Health
* Education
* Housing and sanitation
* Nutrition and water schemes
* Support for children and women
* Contribution to economic development
Fundación Renta focuses its best efforts on contributions to non-profit NGOs specialising in the above areas, while it is always ready to involve itself in any other sort of project, provided that the social aim is justified.If Renta Holdings are using the capitalist system to fund community-based initiatives which empower the poor - are exploiting the exploiters in other words - then allow me to curb my cynicism.
Of course, it would be far better if the rich were, like Bill Gates, more hands on. (
Abdurizal Bakrie: are you listening?)
