Whilst we're on the subject of books, it's great to see a growth in fiction writing and reading in bahasa Indonesia.
One of my readers, Mina, writes Book Quickies, a blog of reviews. I was intrigued to see that she lists another 22 Book Bloggers, as well as links to online book stores in the country.
I've always contended that any and all reading is good for you in the sense that it broadens one's horizons and increases literacy and critical thinking.
And what I've read today is a new Greenpeace report, Cruel Oil, about the rape and rapid conversion of Riau's peatlands into palm oil plantations. I've posted a news article on Green Indonesia.
